The New York International Auto Show has been a highly anticipated show every year since it started in 1900. This year’s show is particularly special, because it’s the 100th anniversary of the Ford Model T and more than 40 million cars have come out of America! The auto show is open to consumers from March 29 through April 7 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
It’s time to get your car on and head down to see all the newest models! The convention has over 1,500 new cars this year and gives people a behind-the-scenes look at what makes these cars so great. Once inside, visitors can check out concept cars and an outdoor interactive showroom, where they can even test drive some of the cars.
The major automakers like HONDA, Kia, Subaru and many more will reveal their newest models there. The show has become a must-go event for auto lovers everywhere because it shows off what’s new in the auto world. One car that may be revealed is the 2019 Acura RDX which will have a completely redesigned set of exterior and interior features.
It’s not just the cars that people come to see, but the “concept vehicles” as well. These are cars that aren’t for sale yet and include luxury or concept vehicles such as an Audi R8 Spyder, Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet, and a Mercedes-Benz SL 500 Represents modern luxury. One car that may be revealed is the 2019 Acura RDX which will have a completely redesigned set of exterior and interior features.
The auto show isn’t just cars, there’s also an interactive area for visitors to test drive vehicles in an outdoor showroom.
There’s more than just cars at the exhibit — there are also tons of activities for kids! Some attractions include full-sized toy vehicles, building race cars and racing them on an actual racetrack set up by MATTEL, massive Hot Wheels track that visitors can pay to design their own car.
